A LARGE PAINTED ENAMEL BASIN
18TH-19TH CENTURY
The basin is decorated in the center of the interior with seven female deities holding various precious objects, and two attendants carrying jue on trays,all below vaporous clouds that partially obscure a pagoda. A band of large fish and aquatic plants encircles this central scene in the well, and the flat, barbed-petal rim is decorated with dense leafy, floral meander on a yellow ground. The exterior and base are decorated with archaistic blue dragon scrolls.
