Careers at Christie’s
Christie’s graduate training programme
The programme
This exciting 18-month programme offers ten outstanding graduates the chance to experience our business through a series of placements, spot rotations and workshops. Each Graduate Trainee is offered a competitive salary and has the exclusive opportunity to be mentored by experienced business leaders. Participants gain a comprehensive understanding of Christie’s, heightened commercial awareness and advanced specialist skills. We aim to retain all our Graduate Trainees — the next generation of Christie’s business leaders.
A Trainee completes a series of rotations with both specialist departments and key support departments. They work closely with the department teams, while completing training and mentoring programmes. Each Graduate Trainee receives a formal performance review at the end of each rotation.
The 18-month scheme also includes shorter spot rotations with teams beyond our specialist departments, from Marketing to Legal. These placements enable Graduate Trainees to develop an understanding of how the different business functions work together, and foster relationships across Christie’s.
The locations
The Graduate Training Programme is available in our London, Hong Kong and New York offices.
Please note, you can apply for more than one region, however, due to local immigration regulations, Christie's cannot sponsor visa applications for the training programme in London or New York.
Timeline
We open for applications in October every year, with the application window closing on the 31st December. All applications are read individually by our global recruiting team throughout January. For those that make the longlist video interviews are sent in February, and every single one is reviewed by our recruiters throughout February and into March. The video interview includes two ‘gamified’ skills tests.
The best interviews are shared with an expert panel of selected people from across our business, once these are assessed we land on the candidates to invite to our in-person assessment centre in all three locations during April. Decisions are made and communicated within three days of the assessment centres.
October – applications open
December – applications close
January – March – review and selection
April – assessment centres

We appreciate this process is elongated, but it is necessary to run a thorough and fair process
